What is Yoga Therapy?
Yoga Therapy is movement therapy, but it’s so much more. Jessie incorporates movement therapy into virtually all of her private sessions with clients. She’ll meet you in the exact moment and body you inhabit, and meet it more fully. You’ll work through skilled, intuitive assessments of your physical form and how it represents your inner spirit. Our world is ever-changing and technologically advancing around us. Our amazing bodies are adapting to it. From cell phones, to back up cameras and comfy couches, our tissues form to where we sit/stand and move most frequently. Through repetitive, unconscious and patterned movement, even the healthiest bodies have aches and pains.
Holistic Yoga Therapy™ promotes healing THROUGH movement, rather than limiting it. In our session I aim to see and identify learned and habitual movement patterns, and work with you to harness and strengthen new nourishing patterns that support your body’s optimal function and balance. I’m not interested in “fixing” you, because I do not believe that you are broken. Our mind body connection is powerful, limitless and inherently intelligent. I am simply offering you a reminder of that.
